Manager - Market Research Insights & Strategy

Salary Range - $130,000 - $150,000

About the job

If you are ready to drive high-impact insights and lead client-facing engagements in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, then this role at Azurite Consulting may be the right next step for you, as you aim to cut through the noise to deliver sharp, decision-ready insights. You’ll bring best practice and unique perspective, run bespoke survey and expert interview studies, and craft data-driven narratives that guide C-suite decisions and investor strategies.

Azurite Consulting is a boutique primary research consultancy led by former McKinsey and Bain consultants. We work with leading private equity firms, hedge funds, and global corporations to uncover the market signals that matter—and turn them into actionable strategies.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in the Jersey City office 2-3 days per week to collaborate and work side-by-side with the team and help mentor junior team members.

About the Role

The core responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

·       Lead end-to-end research engagements, from scoping and research design to analysis and client delivery

·       Design and execute custom surveys and expert interviews, ensuring methodological rigor and top-tier data quality

·       Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to surface trends and distill actionable insights

·       Build compelling, story-led deliverables that influence senior decision-makers

·       Serve as the primary client point of contact, managing relationships and expectations

·       Present insights and recommendations directly to senior client stakeholders, including C-suite and investment leadership

·       Mentor and manage junior team members to support high-quality execution and professional development

·       Contribute to evolving Azurite’s product offerings and thought leadership alongside senior leadership

NOTE: This job description is not all-inclusive. As an entrepreneurial company, employees may need to perform other duties as needed and as the business evolves.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

·       3–5 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or an equivalent role requiring structured problem-solving, executive communication, and analytical rigor

·       Proven ability to structure, analyze, and synthesize data into meaningful business insights

·       Strong storytelling skills to craft strategic narratives and communicate clearly to executive audiences

·       Experience managing projects with tight timelines and high-quality standards

·       Experience mentoring and coaching team members (directly or indirectly) and working across levels

·       Agile mindset—comfortable operating under ambiguity in an environment that evolves quickly

·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·       A big plus but not required: Experience in survey design, experience with Python or other similar programming language

NOTE: This position is not eligible for any work visa sponsorship. Candidates must be able to work without any restrictions of work permits now or in the future.
