Financial Patient Services Representative

Aya Healthcare has an opportunity for an experienced Financial Patient Services Representative to support a 13-week contract with a healthcare facility in Beverly Hills, CA.

Assignment Details

• Start: End of April
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm
• Pay: $26-$29/hr
• Length: 13 weeks
• Onboarding: 1-2 weeks
• Flu & Covid-19 Vaccinations are required.

Requirements for Financial Patient Services Representative:

• 1 year of experience using Epic (EMR) system
• 3 years of healthcare financial services experience
• Experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOB), financial assistance, patient disputes, insurance verification, and authorizations
• 1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Familiarity with patient financial screening processes
• Prior experience verifying insurances / benefits plans

Please note: Candidates without Epic (EMR) experience cannot be considered.

Responsibilities of Financial Patient Services Representative:

• Respond to web and email inquiries in an expeditious manner
• Working EPIC work queues as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Serves as an SME(Subject Matter Expert) to handle special inquiries – internal and external
• Properly updating account information (registration, insurance, etc.)
• Provide detailed documentation for all accounts
• Follow up on all customer-related issues not resolved during initial contact
• Patient call backs
• Handling and completing patient correspondence in a timely fashion
• Handling escalated issues
• Perform basic account adjustments
