About the Role
We are seeking a high-caliber Business Development Manager to lead our growth in the Texas and surrounding states’ renewable energy service market. As the solar landscape shifts from rapid installation to long-term asset management, your mission will be to secure O&M and service contracts for Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Community Renewables, and Small Utility-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Generation: Identify and close O&M service opportunities with asset owners, IPPs, developers, and EPCs within the South-Central US market.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to C&I/Utility clients and Community Solar subscribers/owners, ensuring their portfolios meet production guarantees.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead the development of comprehensive service level agreements (SLAs), including Scope of Work (SOW) and pricing for multi-year O&M contracts.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of Texas-specific regulatory changes and ERCOT grid requirements that impact O&M and storage dispatch.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Track Record: 5 years of professional sales or business development experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of DG and/or utility O&M lifecycle.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with PV system components (inverters, trackers) and BESS architecture (thermal management, augmentation, fire suppression systems).
- Preferably based in Texas: Local market knowledge and an existing network of Texas-based developers/owners are a major plus.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical O&M data into financial "peace of mind" for stakeholders and C-suite executives.
