Mobile Mechanic

About the Role:

As a Mobile Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of machinery and equipment used in production. Your primary responsibility will be to perform on-site repairs and maintenance, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity. You will be expected to diagnose mechanical issues accurately and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and quality standards, as you will be working in various environments and with different types of machinery. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall success and reliability of our manufacturing processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a mobile or field service capacity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and software.
• Previous experience in the durable goods manufacturing sector.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mobile equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on-site to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and communicate any potential impacts on operations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in mobile mechanics to enhance service delivery.

The required skills for this position include strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities, which are essential for diagnosing and repairing equipment efficiently. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to identify issues that may not be immediately apparent and ensure that all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
