Director of Operations will lead and oversee the operational performance of all departments. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence by ensuring consistent execution of cross departmental processes, achieving and exceeding our customers target goals, improving efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to align department performance with overall business goals. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with proven experience managing complex environments, fostering high-performance cultures and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to safety, quality, cost, delivery of services and employee engagement. This position will serve as a contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team and participate in the decision-making process concerning the direction and future growth of the company.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the Department Managers who oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple industry services, ensuring each department meets or exceeds revenue, productivity, efficiency, and quality standards.
2. Develop and execute operations strategies that support business growth, cost control, capacity expansion, and process innovation.
3. Develop and execute sourcing strategy for new and existing customer base
4. Set and monitor KPI’s for managers and their teams; drive accountability and performance through regular reviews and coaching.
5. Implement standardized processes and leverage best practices in each department to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
6. Champion continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, optimize throughput, and improve operational performance.
7. Foster a strong quality-focused culture to consistently meet production targets while upholding high-quality industry standards.
8. Promote and maintain a safety culture across all sites, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
9. Lead, mentor and develop department leadership teams, build succession plans and ensure strong bench strength in each department.
10. Partner with Installation, splicing, construction, quality/safety, purchasing, warehouse, finance, and HR to support integrated business objectives.
11. Collaborate with department heads to ensure operational alignment with customer service expectations.
12. Provide clear communication and leadership to the team to act as a cohesive unit for supporting our customer base.
13. Provide clear, timely reporting to the leadership team.
14. Utilize technical expertise to analyze processes and implement problem-solving tools that proactively address operational risks before they impact customer satisfaction or financial performance.
15. Actively engage in corrective action implementation, production support, equipment maintenance, supplier and internal audits, documentation reviews, customer complaint resolution, inspection practices, service costing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
16. Lead scheduled planning and commitment meetings.
17. Participate in strategy development and budget planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Exceptional leadership and communication (interpersonal, verbal and written) skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple departments and priorities
- Strong financial acumen with ability to manage P&L, control costs, and interpret financial statements
- Ability to lead and drive operational change

- Effective negotiator with suppliers and vendors
- Capable of identifying and addressing ethical and legal risks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications and database management tools
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business or related field preferred
