Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for driving quality initiatives across production, engineering, suppliers, and customers by leading root cause investigations, supporting new product development, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement efforts to maintain high-quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (RCCA)
- Develop and maintain APQP/PPAP documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and other quality documentation
- Support new product development by ensuring quality requirements are incorporated throughout the product launch process
- Participate in process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC) analysis, internal audits, and certification reviews
- Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance activities, including customer and third-party audits
- Investigate audit findings and coordinate corrective actions to resolve quality concerns
- Develop inspection, testing, and verification plans for incoming materials and manufactured products
- Review inspection results and coordinate the disposition of nonconforming materials with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints while utilizing precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other metrology instruments
- Provide guidance and technical support to Quality Inspectors and cross-functional teams
- Communicate quality requirements with customers and suppliers while supporting supplier quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality teams to improve manufacturing performance and product quality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent technical training and manufacturing experience will be considered
- Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment; quality engineering or quality assurance experience preferred
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality management systems
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and other metrology equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with customers and suppliers

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
