Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Grand Rapids area to hire a Maintenance Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys developing teams, improving equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure equipment uptime and reliability through proactive maintenance strategies
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Prioritize work orders and manage maintenance schedules
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with production leadership to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects
- Track maintenance metrics and prepare reports as needed
Qualifications:
- 10 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience preferred
