Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA work standards, and perform all work in accordance with safe work practices
- Perform after-market equipment build-outs for new fleet vehicles
- Ensure vehicle maintenance is occurring at proper intervals
- Coordinate and ensure projects and repairs are completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Repair equipment and help troubleshoot minor vehicle maintenance issues
- Inspect vehicles and equipment regularly using company vehicle inspection checklist
- Identify and document issues for needing corrective action for branch managers
- Oversee maintenance shop inventory control over tools and equipment
- Coordinate vehicle swaps with service department as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
- Liaison with outside vendors as needed
- Occasional travel required to various company branch locations
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Mechanical aptitude / Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability with Math / Schematics
- Ability to learn and take directions from managers
- Computer skills including proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and other software platforms
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Insurability under company requirements / Able to pass Moving Vehicle Record check
- Must be at least 21 years of age, with at least 3 years of driving experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with vehicle maintenance
- Capable of bending, stooping, sitting/standing for long periods of time, walking, crouching and kneeling
- Capable of lifting 30-50 lbs. frequently.
- Capable of reaching, handling, gripping, using equipment, keyboards and mobile devices.
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which includes dirt, oils, lubricants, chemicals, tools, weather extremes or similar elements
- Legally eligible to work and travel in the United States
- Ability to pass background check
