What are the responsibilities and job description for the Side Frame Welder position at AXH Air-Coolers?
This position performs welding operations on side frame assemblies using straight MIG and fluxcore welding procedures. Must pass visual welding tests; horizontal, downhill, and overhead using straight MIG and horizontal using fluxcore.
Must have good communication skills with co-workers and management.
Experience in welding and fit-up of side frames a plus.
Ability to use hand tools, tape measure and read/interpret blueprints. Will be trained to use overhead crane.
Ability to comprehend and adhere to the production schedule to insure timely delivery of product. Must be able to adapt to changes in production schedule.
Ability to maintain an organized workplace and records of all jobs performed in department.
Inspect work performed in department to insure product specifications and quality standards are met.
Lift up to fifty pounds repetitively.
