What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Tester position at Axelon Services Corporation?
Summary:
- We have 2 shifts: 3 pm-11 pm, or 11 pm-7 am.
- OT: up to 10 hours a day and every other weekend.
- Orientation: 1st week on 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly inspection of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures.
- Conduct electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures and monitor conformance to quality standards.
- Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).
- Conduct routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss) & no-load loss (core loss).
- Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.
- Conduct operational tests on regulators as required.
- Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.
- Inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.
- Perform visual inspection on the interior of the unit upon completion of testing.
- Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
- Conduct special routine tests when required.
- Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process per established procedures.
- Apply decals and stencils to the exterior of the unit and perform paint mileage check as required.
- Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.
- Complete various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.
- Collect various types of data per established procedures as required.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to work in the company states without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.
- Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Skills:
- Education in AC/DC fundamentals or completion of electricity coursework from an accredited institution or a minimum 1 year of experience in electricity.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Salary : $24 - $26
