Accounting Clerk (Part Time)

General Purpose: Perform a range of general clerical and bookkeeping support functions reporting to the Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
- Accounts Receivable: Create Accounts Receivable Invoices, manage timely payment from customers, enter payments into Accounting Software. Manage progress payments.
- Accounts Payable: Create Purchase Orders, match Packing Slips to order, enter Invoice into Accounting Software. Pay vendors as needed.
- Develop and Maintain Work in Process Reports; maintain job folders.
- Close the month, quarter, and year running profit and loss statements and balance sheet; adjust G/L ledger accounts working with Controller.
- Once month is closed, close all invoiced jobs, run updated open orders report; make adjustments if necessary, working with Controller.
- Manage and Complete all State and Federal Filings.
- Work to move the current Accounting Software data into a new ERP system by year end.

Education and Experience:
- Proficient in data entry and clerical accounting.
- 3 years' general accounting experience and/or Associate Degree in Business or Accounting.
- MS Office knowledge. Sage Accounting Software knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.

Part - Time: 20 -30 hours per week.
Depending on Experience: $ 22 - $ 25 per hour
