Position Overview
AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Inspector to ensure that all components and assemblies meet strict industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safety, reliability, and compliance across our aerospace manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and materials using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify product conformity.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify non-conformances and collaborate with engineering and production teams on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 2 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with inspection tools and quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
- Experience using coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
