What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at HUNT Real Estate ERA?
Objective
The Real Estate Accounting Clerk provides support to the Accounting Operations Manager directly and the Accounting Department overall.
Functions
Responsible for generating real estate commission invoices:
- Generate invoices from sales database module
- Ensure accuracy and proper distribution
- Create custom invoices as needed
Responsible for weekly franchise fee payments:
- Reconciliation of fees due
- Working with Franchise staff for any discrepancies or post closing adjustments
- Remitting fees via online portal
- Recording payments in accounting software
Responsible for closing transactions in sales database:
- Verify accuracy of closing payments received
- Work with branch on any discrepancies
- Complete closing process for sales
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete special projects, analysis and miscellaneous assignments as required
Qualifications
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a cooperative and collegial manner with other department to accomplish Company goals and objectives
- Proficiency in current office technology (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, desk phones, cell phones, computers, copier/fax machines, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree in business related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with real estate industry preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 15 lbs.
