LAUNDRY AIDE - PART TIME (24 hours/week)

Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility with a 30 bed post-acute/rehab unit. Our Facility has an excellent reputation in the community and we are looking for caring persons to provide leadership and drive the quality care we are known for to our residents.:

24 HOURS PER WEEK INCLUDING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY

5:30 AM - 1:30 PM

$17.50/HOUR

$0.75 WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL

Job Details:
The Laundry Aide would be responsible for sorting soiled clothing and linens, washing, drying, folding and delivering items to resident rooms and nursing stations. Experience desired but will train the right candidate! May assist in housekeeping on occasion as needed.

$17.50/hour

24 hours a week which includes every other weekend

5:30 am - 1:30 pm

Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize washing machines and dryers daily
• Sort soiled laundry and Linens
• Sort and fold clean laundry
• Delivery of personal clothing to facility residents
• Mending ironing as needed
• Label Clothing
• Stocking of carts for nursing areas

Other Requirements:

• May assist in housekeeping based on facility needs on occasion
• Must be able to do heavy lifting repeatedly without restrictions
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Able to deal tactfully with coworkers, residents, family members, visitors and general public
• Must be reliable - Our facility is open 365 days a year including holidays and weekends and inclement weather
