Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Aerospace Maintenance Engineer/Analyst to support the Systems Readiness Directorate, Special Operations Aviation Division. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

- Review and analyze airworthiness documents, including Maintenance Engineering Call (MECs), Modification Work Orders (MWOs), Aviation Safety Action Messages (ASAMs), and Aviation Maintenance Action Messages (AMAMs).
- Generate responses for Special Ops Maintenance Messages (SOMM), ensuring they meet the specific requirements of Spec Ops.
- Evaluate and document test plans and reports related to environmental, E3, and electrical tests.
- Process Publication Change Requests (PCR) using the DA Form 2028 for Spec Ops and support updates to maintenance manuals through participation in validation and verification events.
- Draft Airworthiness Releases (AWRs) for test events and for systems moving into production following completed test activities.
- Prepare Airworthiness Qualification Plans (AQPs) and Airworthiness Qualification Substantiation Records (AQSRs) as required.
- Research airworthiness qualification histories to develop a Return to Service (RTS) for Great Britain, detailing the origins of warnings, cautions, notes, and restrictions to confirm compliance with qualification requirements.
- This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple documentation streams under strict regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and participate in validation and verification events to ensure documentation integrity.
- Communicate technical findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including UK qualification authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airworthiness qualification standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging practices.

- BS degree.
- 11 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with CH-47F and MH-47G Chinook and the UH-60M and MH-60M Blackhawk systems and aircraft.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing technical airworthiness documentation and related artifacts.
- Proven ability to draft technical responses and clear reports for maintenance and qualification events.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with test plan evaluations.
- Knowledge of Special Ops-specific procedures and technical documentation requirements.
- Experience with airworthiness qualification processes and record tracing for aviation systems.
