Business Office Manager Job Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of Medical Eligibility and Billing, especially familiarity with Medicaid in a long term care environment.
1 year in a skilled nursing facility with Business Office experience.
Business Office Manager Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Administrator, the Business Office Manager manages all business functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, resident trust funds and other assigned duties. The Business Office Manager ensures the financial systems are accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations.
Business Office Manager Job Responsibilities:
Verifications/Eligibility look up to ensure valid insurance for new admissions
Level of Care submissions and follow up
PointClickCare Census management/payer tree maintenance
Medicaid Applications/Renewals and follow up
Obtain initial authorization and submit updates for skilled managed care of Managed Medicaid
Obtain and Update/renew authorizations for the Family Care companies
Manage collections for patient liability and private billing
Monthly Medicaid eligibility checks in Forward Health and update PCC accordingly
Monthly skilled payer eligibility check and make sure commercial policies are active
Banking (deposits)
Resident Trust
Weekly review for upcoming Managed Care authorizations needed
Attend and participate in weekly Medicare Meetings
Upload needed documents into PointClickCare
