Job Title: Supply Chain Planner II
Location: Norfolk, VA (Onsite – Shipyard/Shipboard Environment)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Pay Rate: $33–35/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Deck Plate Coordinator (SCC) to support ship modernization, conversion, and overhaul programs for government and commercial vessels. This role partners closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, and subcontractors to oversee materials, schedules, and subcontractor performance throughout the full program lifecycle. The ideal candidate has hands-on U.S. Navy shipboard experience and a strong understanding of ship repair, production, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate contract requirements, technical specifications, and customer expectations to internal teams and subcontractors
- Execute contract activities in compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Prepare and deliver project reports to management, highlighting schedule, cost, or performance variances requiring attention
- Monitor subcontractor performance against integrated project plans, including detailed production schedules and budgets
- Ensure compliance with applicable maritime and safety standards (NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, OSHA, and related requirements)
- Oversee subcontractor work execution and resolve issues that cannot be addressed by craft supervision
- Conduct ship checks, attend coordination meetings, and support development of production schedules and manpower projections
- Ensure subcontractors understand milestones, key events, and target dates for assigned scopes of work
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Navy shipboard experience with strong knowledge of ship repair, production, and overhaul processes
- Ability to physically access shipboard environments, including climbing ladders and conducting onboard walkthroughs
- Experience with production scheduling and ship repair planning for Navy or comparable maritime vessels
- Demonstrated understanding of ship repair through project management, planning, operations, or supply chain functions
- Strong collaboration skills with program management, procurement, subcontract administrators, and subcontractors
- Familiarity with governing regulations and standards (FAR, DFARS, NAVSEA, and/or commercial maritime regulations)
