TITLE: Principal Structural Analysis Engineer

LOCATION: Westminster, CO

SCHEDULE: Onsite

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12 month contract - strong possibility of contract-hire

PAY RANGE: $63-82/hr. W2

Averro is seeking a talented Principal Structural Analysis Engineer for one of our exciting Defense and Aerospace clients in the Northern Denver area. You will be responsible for performing structural, stress and dynamic analysis on spacecraft systems!

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform structural analysis on spacecraft, instruments, payloads, optics, mechanisms, and ground support equipment.
• Use closed form and finite element analysis techniques in stress analysis and structural dynamics.
• Develop loads and environments for structure and components.
• Support structural and environmental testing for static, modal, acoustic, shock, and vibration.
• Write detailed reports for test and analysis activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required
• 6 years of structural analysis experience
• Aerospace or defense experience required
• Extensive Nastran experience with static, modal, buckling, and frequency response.
• Structural analysis experience on Bolted and Bonded Joints, Welds, Electronics, Antennas, Fracture and Fatigue
• General Software Experience: Simcenter, FEMAP, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, MATLAB, Adams, SolidWorks, Python
• FEM Application experience: Explicit, Transient, Nonlinear, Multibody Dynamics, Line of Sight, and Jitter
