TITLE: Sales Engineer and Channel Account Manager
LOCATION: Kent, WA (Onsite M-F)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Direct Hire
PAY RANGE: 115-150K base (Medical, Dental, Vision, Holiday Pay, PTO, 401K)
Our manufacturing and equipment fabrication client is looking for both a Sales Engineer and a Channel Account Manager to join the team!
We're hiring for two sides of the same mission: selling complex, custom-manufactured gas systems to an industrial customer base. One role owns the channel and commercial relationships. The other owns the technical proposal and application engineering. Both require the same non-negotiable: you've sold complete, custom-built systems before — not components, not off-the-shelf equipment.
Backgrounds in industrial gas systems, energy, utilities, HVAC, custom fabrication, or related industrial equipment are all relevant. If you've sold engineered-to-order systems in any of these spaces, we want to hear from you.
Channel Sales Manager — You manage and grow a network of reps, distributors, OEMs, and end users. You run business reviews, negotiate agreements, hit targets, and make sure your partners prioritize your product. You're commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
Technical Sales Engineer — You're the technical authority in the room. Customers bring you their application; you size the equipment, build the proposal, and show them exactly why your solution works. This is primarily an inside role — high inquiry volume, fast turnaround, deep application knowledge.
What Both Roles Require
- Experience selling custom-manufactured systems — the full engineered solution, built to spec. Not a component. Not a catalog product. This is a firm requirement.
- Comfort operating in a consultative, application-driven sales environment
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- CRM proficiency and strong organizational habits
The Sales Engineer role additionally requires an engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, petroleum, or related) and the ability to read P&IDs, run sizing calculations, and build technically grounded proposals independently. The Channel Account Manager requires a Bachelor's degree, but open to majors.
