DURATION: 6 month contract with option for extension and conversion

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Structural/Design Engineer for a fast-paced engineering and construction environment focused on the rapid design and deployment of temporary structures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering who is looking to further their career in design, fabrication, and field implementation projects.
- Engage stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document structural and functional requirements for temporary structure projects.
- Translate project requirements into vendor-ready design packages suitable for fabrication and construction.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and site-specific conditions.
- Coordinate with vendors throughout fabrication to address RFIs, design clarifications, and technical questions.
- Incorporate engineering changes and design revisions in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Maintain revision-controlled drawing packages and document key design decisions.
- Support design reviews, field implementation activities, and resolution of technical issues during construction and deployment.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3 years of experience in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering.
- Experience developing fabrication-ready design packages for external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Proficiency with relevant CAD and engineering design software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and safety requirements.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing temporary or modular structures, including tent or deployable structures.
- Familiarity with anchorage systems, foundation design, and environmental load considerations for temporary installations.
- Experience supporting field construction, installation, or commissioning activities.
