Position Summary
This Accounts Receivable Specialist role supports a multi-site finance team by generating invoices, processing customer payments, updating AR ledgers, managing chargebacks/returns, and reconciling AR and intercompany accounts. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent customer communication, and the ability to stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Management
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and AR aging reports.
- Enter data into ERP systems, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy of invoices and financial documents.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in credits, vendor statements, and customer accounts.
- Reconciliation & Coding
- Match vendor credits to purchase orders and apply correct GL coding.
- Reconcile internal records with employees, management, customers, and vendors.
- Assist with bank or financial statement reconciliation as needed.
- General Accounting Support
- Investigate questionable data and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of accounting or AR experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- ERP experience preferred; Syteline highly preferred.
- Ability to produce accurate reports and communicate professionally with internal and external partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or accounting certificate preferred.
