Title: Accountant, Accounts Payable
Location: Bellevue, WA
Employment Type: Contract, 6-12 months
Pay Range: $45-60/hr DOE

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to focus on A/P for a growing energy company. This person would be responsible for high volume, full cycle accounts payable processes.
- Process full-cycle accounts payable including tracking, recording, coding, approval, and payment processing
- Complete 2 and 3 way matching of invoices against purchase orders
- Review and ensure accuracy of invoices when scanning into Oracle’s accounting system
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process and files 1099 forms
- Manage disbursements to vendors, subcontractors, and subrecipients
- Issue payments via checks, wire, ACH, positive pay
- Research and resolve discrepancies in invoices
- Support basic GL accounting including posting journal entries
- Monitors Accounts Payable aging reports
Essential Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel & Office 365
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud AP is preferred
- Working knowledge of government grant and/or government contracts is preferred
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; high degree of accuracy
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working with operations team/non-accounting professionals, deal with complex accounting/project codes/org codes.
- Analytical/problem solving – ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
