Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state individual and small-business tax returns.
- Review client documentation for accuracy, completeness, and missing information.
- Meet with clients to review completed returns and answer tax-related questions.
- Assist with amended returns, tax projections, and tax notices.
- Collaborate with tax professionals and financial advisors to support client needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- CPA or Enrolled Agent designation with an active PTIN.
- At least 2–3 years of professional tax-preparation experience.
- Experience preparing both individual and business tax returns.
- Strong client-service, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- UltraTax CS and QuickBooks experience preferred.
