Payroll Specialist (Paylocity experience needed)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with strong expertise in Paylocity to manage and process payroll operations accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Paylocity as their primary payroll platform and possess a strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, employee records management, and payroll reporting.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting employees and leadership with payroll-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule using Paylocity
- Maintain and audit employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Manage payroll imports, exports, reporting, and system maintenance within Paylocity
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner
- Administer timekeeping, PTO tracking, and attendance data integration
- Coordinate payroll processing for new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and benefit deductions
- Prepare payroll reports for finance, HR, and leadership teams
- Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and audits
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee and compensation data
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information
