Overview
We are partnering with a growing, globally backed organization to identify a Director of Operations to help bring structure, alignment, and operational maturity to a rapidly evolving business.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in environments where there is significant opportunity to build, improve, and influence. The organization has experienced strong growth through acquisition and is now looking for a hands-on leader to unify teams, enhance performance, and drive scalable operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations across warehouse, logistics, and supply chain functions
- Partner closely with internal teams to improve coordination across departments that currently operate independently
- Provide leadership oversight for HR and supply chain functions, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
Warehouse & Logistics Optimization
- Improve warehouse efficiency across receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Evaluate and optimize relationships with 3PL partners and carrier networks
- Ensure inventory accuracy and effective system utilization (ERP/WMS)
- Assess and recommend investments in equipment, systems, and infrastructure to support growth
Process Improvement & Structure
- Establish and implement KPIs and performance metrics (e.g., fulfillment, shipping performance, inventory levels)
- Identify operational gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Help introduce P&L ownership and accountability across functional leaders
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Break down silos and improve collaboration between operations, sales, IT, and other business units
- Partner with leadership to ensure operational decisions support company-wide goals
- Support HR in strengthening internal structure, culture, and team effectiveness
Team Development
- Mentor and develop frontline leaders, including warehouse management
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Elevate leadership capability across the organization
Ideal Background
- 8–12 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or distribution leadership
- Strong background in warehouse and logistics operations (required)
- Experience with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and operational reporting
- Proven ability to build structure in growing or evolving organizations
- Demonstrated success in developing teams and improving performance
- Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity and opportunity to build
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across departments
- Working knowledge of HR practices is a plus
