ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented accounting professional to play a meaningful role in supporting the daily operations of Avenues New York. As the Accounts Payable Assistant, you will help ensure the smooth and timely processing of all payments while contributing to a finance function that is efficient, responsive, and continuously improving.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the preparation and execution of bi-weekly payment runs, processing high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency while ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payment in compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain and manage vendor records, including onboarding new vendors and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving payment-related issues with a strong customer service approach
- Support month-end close by reconciling accounts payable balances and assisting with reporting and audit requests
- Continuously improve accounts payable processes by leveraging systems and technology to increase efficiency and accuracy

Additional Information
If hired for this position, the annual salary range for this position is between $55,000-$75,000. The salary may vary depending on your professional experience and skills.
