Environmental Services Director (EVS)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Environmental Services (EVS) to oversee housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services operations across our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities. This leadership role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all environmental services operations, including housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation
• Ensure compliance with all infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and state/federal guidelines
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, policies, and procedures for both AL and SNF settings
• Lead, train, and supervise EVS staff, including scheduling and performance management
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with nursing and leadership teams to support infection prevention efforts
• Manage inventory, supplies, and departmental budgets
• Prepare for and participate in state surveys and implement plans of correction as needed
• Respond promptly to environmental and safety concerns
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in EVS/Housekeeping leadership, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
• Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, and regulatory requirements
• Experience overseeing both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing preferred
• Proven leadership and team management skills
