The Role

Due to a substantial increase in caseload, a regional leader seeks a Civil Defense Attorney to join the Charlotte office immediately. This onsite positions is designed for motivated litigators ready to manage the full litigation lifecycle, from initial carrier reporting to jury trials.

Key Responsibilities

• Litigation Strategy: Develop and execute defense strategies for general liability, premises liability, and commercial disputes.
• Courtroom Advocacy: Argue motions, attend hearings, and lead discovery in both state and federal courts.
• Depositions: Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
• Reporting: Maintain consistent communication with insurance claims examiners and corporate risk managers.
• Trial Preparation: Manage mediations and lead trial preparation for complex casualty cases.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 years of civil litigation experience (Insurance Defense preferred).
• Licensure: Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing.
• Skills: Superior brief-writing skills and persuasive oral advocacy.
• Location: Ability to work full-time in a professional, onsite office setting in Charlotte.
