The Role

The firm is seeking a driven General Liability Defense Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution. This individual will provide aggressive advocacy and tailored solutions for corporations, insurers, and local businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation for general liability, automobile, and premises liability matters.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Conduct extensive discovery, including taking and defending expert and 30(b)(6) depositions.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations throughout South Carolina.
• Prepare for and lead trials, maintaining the firm's standard of courtroom excellence.
• Provide strategic legal analysis and timely reporting to insurance claims representatives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active License to practice law in South Carolina (North Carolina licensure is a plus).
• Proven Experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense or general liability.
• Exceptional writing and analytical skills with a "trial-ready" mindset.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
