Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Auditor to monitor material, verify integrity, and ensure products meet defined customer and company specifications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using precision measuring tools, interpreting engineering drawings, and auditing production processes. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives and requires participation in training programs and certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform random and scheduled audits of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist Supervisors and Managers with follow-ups on quality-related concerns.
- Collect and evaluate material samples against company specifications.
- Inspect outgoing products to validate quality compliance.
- Conduct Epstein testing on raw material for incoming inspections and furnace monitoring.
- Use precision measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Learn and operate VMM/CMM technology; write and modify inspection programs.
- Support creation of work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures.
- Utilize Access database for tracking non-conforming material and perform rework as required.
- Execute laboratory procedures such as calibration and metallographic analysis.
- Participate in internal ISO audit activities and conduct First Article Inspections.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and Lean Six Sigma activities.
- Occasional travel and after-shift class attendance may be required for certification programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to interpret measurements using various precision instruments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- High-level math competency.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and different shifts as needed.
- Experience with VMM or CMM machines required.
Physical & Essential Requirements
- Ability to work 8 hours/day and 5 days/week.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate various tools and devices.
- Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions, blueprints, and measurement specifications.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and required PPE usage (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
- Ability to maintain reliable attendance and handle overtime/short notice requirements.
Certifications (Company-Provided After Joining)
- Will be required to obtain Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.
- Will be required to obtain CQI Certification (Certified Quality Inspector – ASQ) within 2 years of employment.
