Avanciers are seeking a hands-on FA Engineer to support NPI and mass production builds. The role involves failure analysis, hardware debugging, and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and improve product yield.
Key Responsibilities
- Own FA pipeline for NPI and production builds
- Analyze failed units, perform triage, and classify failure types
- Execute failure analysis (inspection, reproduction, electrical characterization)
- Debug hardware using lab tools (scope, DMM, logic analyzer, JTAG)
- Perform experiments to isolate root causes across board, silicon, or process
- File and manage bugs with detailed analysis and logs
- Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams for resolution
- Provide insights on yield issues and recommend improvements
Required Skills
- 3 years of experience in hardware/system debug or FA
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with lab tools (oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, JTAG)
- Strong debugging skills on boards/systems
- Knowledge of Linux and scripting (Python preferred)
- Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and layouts
Preferred
- Experience in semiconductor, GPU, or product engineering
- Exposure to NPI / high-volume manufacturing environments
