The Role
AutoStore is searching for a Service and Support Intern at our North American headquarters in Salem, NH, for the summer of 2026. This is a 10 week, 40 hour per week internship starting in June of that year.
The Service and Support Intern is a critical entry point into AutoStore's technical support ecosystem, offering a hands-on opportunity to develop advanced, mechanical engineering centric problem-solving skills in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This internship provides an immersive experience in technical support, the application of mechanical engineering principles and best practices, and customer service excellence.
The intern will support AutoStore's service operations by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware systems, and contributing to the company's knowledge management processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply mechanical engineering principles in a real-world technical support setting.

- Diagnose and solve technical issues for internal and external customers, demonstrating advanced problem-solving capabilities. Your Mechanical Engineering knowledge will be central to this process
- Perform hands-on hardware configuration and troubleshooting for AutoStore's sophisticated mechanical systems
- Document technical interactions, solutions, and system insights
- Contribute to and maintain the company's technical knowledge base through detailed, accurate documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective customer support
- Analyze and document technical findings to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong hands-on problem-solving skills
- Prior mechanical engineering project or internship experience preferred
- You can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and precisely
