Sales Manager – Schererville, IN Market (140k–170k)
Well-performing dealership in the Schererville, IN market is looking for a hands-on Automotive Sales Manager to join its leadership team. The dealer is looking for a motivated Sales Manager who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the showroom - working with the sales team, closing deals, working the desk, and getting units sold. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable dealership with a positive reputation, solid grosses, and a schedule that offers better balance than many retail automotive environments. The position is available due to an internal transfer within the company.
This is a high-grossing store with a strong foundation already in place, along with a positive work-life balance and no late nights. The dealer is looking for a leader who can motivate the team, maintain accountability, and continue pushing the store forward while fostering a positive culture. The Sales Manager hired will be one of two Sales Managers at the store and will report directly to the Dealer Principal who is off-site.
Responsibilities include:
- Desking and closing deals
- Hiring, training, and developing the sales team
- Driving performance and accountability throughout the department
- Motivating and coaching sales staff on a daily basis
- Working hands-on with customers and sales consultants
- Maintaining strong variable operations processes and structure
- Helping the dealership continue to grow while maintaining profitability
- Partnering effectively with the other Sales Manager and leadership team
Requirements:
- Automotive dealership Sales Manager experience
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Hands-on management style
- Proven track record in variable operations
- Strong desking and closing ability
- Process-driven and organized
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- F&I background or experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation:
- Compensation in the $140,000 - $170,000 range based on performance.
