General Manager – Burlington, VT Market (250k-350k)
Import dealership in the greater Burlington, Vermont market is looking for a proven Automotive General Manager to lead the store and take it to the next level. The foundation is there, the store just needs a strong leader to bring more consistency, accountability, and direction to the operation. The dealership has a beautiful facility, strong brand recognition, a solid team in place, and significant opportunity for continued growth with the right GM leading the charge day in and day out.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading import dealerships to the next level. This is a great opportunity for a General Manager who knows how to drive sales, build culture, motivate a team, and set the tone for the dealership on a daily basis. This is truly a rare opportunity with a great store and the dealer is looking for a General Manager who will be with them for many years to come. Huge market demand for this brand, so it is very important that the person hired is great at making sure leads are properly handled and that deals aren't slipping through the cracks due to lack of follow-up. The person hired will have support from upper management to get their job done and this person will NOT be micromanaged.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all dealership operations and hold department managers accountable
- Build culture and create a high-performance environment
- Drive new and used vehicle sales growth and market share
- Work closely with department leaders to improve profitability and processes
- Continue developing the dealership’s fixed operations business
- Help maximize F&I performance and overall dealership PVR
- Coach, mentor, and develop the existing management team and staff
- Ensure strong customer experience and operational consistency throughout the store
- Analyze dealership metrics, trends, and performance reports to drive results
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Proven track record running successful import dealerships
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
- Hands-on operator who leads from the front
- Experience driving consistent sales growth and operational performance
- Strong understanding of variable and fixed operations
- Comfortable using dealership DMS systems
- vAuto experience is a plus
- High level of accountability, structure, and professionalism
- NCM or NADA Dealer Academy grad is a big plus
Compensation:
- Competitive compensation package for the right long-term fit will be in the $250,000 - $350,000 range.
