MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an A Maintenance Technician for a steel tube company in Memphis, TN to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Key responsibilities include using diagnostic tools, interpreting blueprints, and documenting all maintenance activities. This role requires a strong technical background in industrial maintenance and the ability to work efficiently to minimize downtime in a production setting. Pay Rate
$20.00 per hour ( more based on experience)
Schedule and Hours
Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (with overtime)

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure smooth operation and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide repairs and installations.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records, and use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment status.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using machine shop tools and equipment.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hoists as required to move materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and production teams to solve problems and plan maintenance activities.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Knowledge of CMMS is often preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to climb, lift, and operate equipment in various plant conditions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
