What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fibers Production Head position at Auriga Polymers and Careers?
The Fibers Plant Head position is responsible for the management of the site through their leadership of the Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, and Safety teams at the plant. The Plant Head must collaborate with IVL regional and global leadership to establish and execute all operational strategies and KPI’s to meet customer demand, drive quality improvements and efficiencies, and continuously upgrade processes and systems.
Key Activities & Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to the daily operations at the site.
- Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture anchored in continuous learning, empowerment, and accountability. Develop and mentor plant leadership and frontline teams, ensuring capability pipelines are in place to meet future operational challenges.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy for the plant, aligned with cluster business objectives and driving value creation through effective execution.
- Translate the strategic goals of the Fibers transformation program into plant-level initiatives that maximize operational efficiency, asset utilization and availability and production reliability.
- Lead the execution of major capital investments (MOB & growth capex) at the plant level, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery.
- Drive optimization of both fixed and variable cost structures through lean operations, waste elimination, and process improvements.
- Enable functional and process integration within the plant to leverage synergies across maintenance, quality, logistic, and operations.
- Contribute actively to cluster-wide initiatives by sharing best practices and collaborating with peer Plant Heads to accelerate regional performance uplift.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement across all operational layers of the plant using structured methodologies.
- Ensure that all plant operations are conducted in strict adherence to regulatory, environmental, and corporate governance standards. Build and sustain robust internal controls and safety systems to minimize operational and reputational risks.

- EHS/Legal compliance: Environmental Violations Cases (Nos.), Loss Time Injury Frequency rate, Compliance violation, Regulatory audit findings, Number of legal actions or Penalties
- Cost productivity improvement: Total Variable cost, Total FC, Total Conversion Cost, Cost/HC
- Strategic initiatives: Implement Growth Capex, MOB Capex & Footprint adjustment,
- Transformation project accomplishment: Cost reduction projects, IVEX Savings, Digitalization projects (Nos.)
- People development: Training Hours per Employee, Employee Retention Rate, Internal Promotion Rate
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent written/ verbal communication skills
- Project Management experience
- Minimum 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years at a leadership level and 5 years working in a global environment
- Experience with change management
- Experience working in cross-functional business leadership teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of business management experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years at a leadership level and 5 years working in a global environment.
- Experience leading manufacturing facilities and staff in the textile industry preferred.
Physical demand / requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to access most areas of the IVH plants. Occasional walking and standing. Vocal communication for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, hearing, and visual acuity.
