The Planner II is responsible for developing and executing planning activities across multiple horizons including the long-term Master Supply Plan (0–18 months), the medium-term Master Production Schedule (0–13 weeks), and the short-term Production Schedule (0–2 weeks with daily/shift-level planning).This role focuses on improving operational performance, including customer delivery, inventory optimization, and productivity, while ensuring cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders. The planner will also support approval and execution of plans during monthly S&OP Supply Review and operational planning meetings.Key ResponsibilitiesMaster Supply PlanningDevelop and manage the long-term Master Supply Plan for designated site bottleneck resources.Balance supply and demand across an 18–24 month planning horizon.Create planning scenarios to address capacity constraints and support demand fulfillment.Provide long-term inventory projections and supply capacity insights.Support long-term supplier capacity evaluations.Master Production SchedulingDevelop and maintain the 13-week rolling Master Production Schedule for critical manufacturing resources.Ensure production plans meet internal and external customer demand.Balance schedules with available machine and labor capacity.Coordinate production with raw material and service delivery schedules.Align production planning with the first three months of the S&OP Master Supply Plan.Short-Term Production PlanningTranslate the first two weeks of the Master Production Schedule into daily and shift-level build plans.Sequence work orders to optimize production flow and minimize setup times.Maintain and update ERP planning master data to ensure accuracy of supply capability and lead times.Operational Reporting & ImprovementTrack and report Operational Planning KPIs.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when required.Provide updates and recovery plans through weekly operations planning meetings, site review processes, and S&OP discussions.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree requiredExperience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain PlanningKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts and industry practices.Experience working with ERP systems and business planning tools.Knowledge of continuous improvement methods such as pull systems, process mapping, and JIT.Ability to analyze operational and financial data to support planning decisions.Strong communication and presentation skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.Ability to manage moderately complex planning challenges through structured analysis and problem-solving.Skilled at identifying issues, collecting relevant data, and implementing effective solutions.Demonstrated ability to contribute to team goals, performance improvements, and professional development initiatives.
