Position Overview
The Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for performing basic assembly operations on mechanical and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products. This role involves working from detailed instructions and engineering specifications to ensure high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools for assembly tasks
- Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform special processes such as conformal coating and potting
- Meet daily production targets as assigned by supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or similar role
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly
- Ability to recognize standard hardware sizes and components

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Safety Requirements
- Safety-toe shoes are mandatory (not provided for contingent workers)
- Must wear all required PPE while on the shop floor
