Aerospace Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing production and manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and collaboration with production teams to support continuous manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain production and manufacturing equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs or adjustments
• Read and interpret technical instructions, schematics, and documentation
• Operate and utilize hand tools and power tools effectively
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures
• Support production teams to maintain smooth operational flow
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of hands-on mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Forklift certification with experience moving large equipment
• Completion of a formal training program or apprenticeship in one of the following (or equivalent experience):
• • Mechanical systems
  • Electrical or electronic systems
  • HVAC, plumbing, or facilities maintenance
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• General knowledge of equipment codes, standards, and regulations
• Basic shop math skills and experience with precision measuring tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vacuum Furnaces, CNC machines, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), or X-Ray equipment
• Aerospace industry experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including:
• • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Climbing, balancing, and frequent movement
  • Handling materials and operating equipment
