Sonographer

Role Overview: Provides ultrasound diagnostic services in an OB-GYN setting, assisting physicians and ensuring patient care coordination. Operates advanced GE ultrasound equipment, maintains safety and equipment standards, and ensures exam rooms and supplies are well-managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures following protocols and instruct patients for cooperation.
• Maintain equipment and exam rooms, manage supplies, and adhere to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Keep skills current through training and meetings, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.
• High school diploma or equivalent; RDMS certification in OB/GYN required.
• Maternal-fetal medicine experience preferred, with proficiency in ultrasound operation and vital signs assessment.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
  
  

Additional Requirements: Knowledge of anatomy, safety procedures, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform necessary movements regularly. Adherence to policies for safety, attendance, and appearance.
