Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic procedures requested by physicians, explaining exams to patients and obtaining relevant medical history.
- Position patients correctly to minimize radiation exposure, using appropriate shielding and immobilization.
- Maintain a clean, stocked work environment, check emergency supplies, and replace used items promptly.
- Practice sterile techniques when required and assist during fluoroscopy and special procedures.
- Utilize hospital/clinic information systems and PACS appropriately.
- Stay informed of new policies and procedures, and perform additional duties as needed.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in radiology, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Attention to detail and compassionate patient care.
- Educational requirement: Associates in Radiology from a recognized institution.
- Preferred: 2 years imaging experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT (R) registration, and BLS certification.
