- Operate MRI equipment, select appropriate technical factors, and administer contrast agents while supporting invasive procedures under MRI guidance.
- Maintain safety protocols, screen patients, position them correctly, and support patient comfort and understanding.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, departmental training, and quality assurance activities, including equipment QC and phantom testing.
- Manage departmental supplies, document procedures, and troubleshoot equipment issues, escalating as needed.
- Transport and prepare patients, verify orders, and process images for interpretation. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient education, support, and effective communication, fostering a respectful environment.
- Associate’s degree or recognized MRI technologist certification.
- 3-4 years of MRI experience with proficiency in all protocols.
- ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required; BLS certification required upon hire.
- Strong knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, and patient care; ability to work effectively under stress.
