Role Overview

The Senior Mental Health Counselor-Masters provides direct client care, including treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy. They support the development of practice standards, quality services, and new programs, serving as a clinical resource and mentor to other clinicians. Responsibilities include consultation, education, critical inquiry, and coordinating services with healthcare professionals, including physicians and ARNPs. The role involves planning client, family, peer, and community education aligned with program goals and maintaining current knowledge through individualized development plans.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Alaska clinical licensure (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Counselor)
• At least 5 years of clinical experience
• Advanced clinical skills, consultation, mentorship, and program promotion
