Security Officer - PT positions wanted.
About 30 hours per week.
Variable 8-12 hour shifts
This position will assist the Director of Safety and Security with safety and security operations at Augusta Country Club (ACC) designed to protect the members, guests, and employees of the club as well as its property and assets.
Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Enforce safety and security procedures for protection of members, guests, employees, and their property
- Accomplish all assigned security tasks in a competent, reliable, and highly professional manner
- Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness in challenging situations
- Exercise general surveillance over parking lot operation by providing systematic patrols to assure protection of vehicles and property, controlling access, to parking lots, and instituting traffic parking procedures
- Assist the investigation of alleged crimes on club premises; cooperate with are law enforcement agencies in investigations including the exchange of reports and information
- Coordinate removal of unauthorized vehicles from the club's property by a towing company
- Complete written reports of all complaints and violations
- Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and team oriented
- Report maintenance, lighting, plumbing, and electrical issues immediately to the Director of Security or Facilities Director
- Conduct routine safety inspections on a random and recurring basis
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with local police, fire, and emergency response
Key knowledge, skills abilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to fluently communicate in English
- Basic knowledge of safety and security standards
- Basic knowledge of physical and electronic security including IT and CCTV design and operation
- Must have open availability to including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Must be available to work ALL holidays (holidays will be shared across team)
- Law enforcement, military or prior security experience
- Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs, have good hearing and eyesight, be able to lift 50 pounds and able to walk/patrol throughout shift in extreme weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Secure/open facilities and gates on a daily schedule and/or upon request of users
- Conduct security patrols
- Detect and report any suspicious or hazardous conditions
- Perform access control duties
- Log vehicles in/out
- Patrol all parking areas
- Investigate all traffic accidents that involve staff, members, guests on ACC property
- Respond to building alarms, fires, disorders, medical problems or other emergencies
- Prepare reports on all significant events or serious incidents. Maintain chronological record of shift activities on daily reports
- Make judgement calls in emergencies or situations not covered by instructions
