Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and assess damage: Examine and determine if a windshield or window can be repaired or needs replacement.
- Repair chips and cracks: Clean the damaged area and fill chips or cracks with a specialized resin.
- Replace glass: Carefully remove old glass, prepare the frame, and install new glass with urethane adhesive and sealant.
- Ensure proper seals: Install weatherstripping and ensure that the new glass is sealed properly to prevent leaks.
- Handle ADAS: Follow proper procedures for vehicles with advanced driver-assistance systems that may be mounted to the windshield.
