Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an LED Technician based in Alexandria, VA. The role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of LED walls and related AV equipment for events. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling and disassembling LED walls, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring optimal LED screen performance, and adhering to safety protocols. The LED Technician will collaborate with event coordinators and technical teams to ensure seamless event production and executions.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in LED wall installation and operation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment, such as video projectors, lighting systems, sound systems, and control consoles.
- Proficiency in understanding technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and multimedia system layouts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during live events.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with event staff, clients, and other technicians.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Previous experience in the events or audio-visual industry is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certifications in AV technology are a plus.
