Associate Buyer - Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
Pay: $25–$31/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4-day work week)
Job Type: Full-Time (M-TH 6AM-4:30PM)

About the role
We’re looking for an Associate Buyer who takes ownership of purchasing execution and supplier coordination, ensuring materials are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time to support production.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that requires consistent follow-up with suppliers, strong attention to detail, and the ability to keep things moving in a fast-paced environment. Success comes down to reliability, communication, and follow-through making sure nothing slips through the cracks from order placement to delivery.
What You'll do
Purchasing & material Execution
- Source, quote, and purchase raw materials to support ongoing production demand
- Manage purchase orders from placement through delivery
- Ensure materials are available and aligned with production needs
Supplier Coordination & Follow-up
- Communicate directly with suppliers to confirm timelines, pricing, and delivery
- Proactively follow up on orders to prevent delays or disruptions
- Resolve issues quickly to keep production on track
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to align priorities
- Communicate status updates, risks, and changes clearly
- Support shared ownership and cross-training across the team
Systems & Data Accuracy
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data in ERP systems
- Ensure timely updates for visibility, planning, and traceability
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing workflows and supplier performance
- Support MRO and indirect purchasing needs (supplies, services, maintenance items)

- Purchase orders are executed accurately and on time
- Suppliers are responsive, accountable, and aligned with expectations
- Material shortages and delays are prevented, not reacted to
- Communication is proactive and solution-oriented
- Production is supported without disruption due to material issues
What We're Looking for
- Experience in purchasing, buying, or supplier coordination
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized
- Comfortable working in ERP systems and Microsoft 365
- Problem-solving mindset with a bias for action
- Adaptable and willing to step in where needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments
- Basic understanding of estimating, pricing, or cost analysis
- Experience supporting both direct materials and indirect/MRO purchasing
