Administrative Technician I

Full-Time | Non-Exempt - Temporary Assignment (60 - 90 days)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Technician I to provide technical administrative support across a variety of departmental functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and has strong organizational and communication skills.
You will play a key role in supporting daily operations by managing records, preparing reports, coordinating communications, and assisting with special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, track, and process departmental data and information
- Prepare, format, and distribute reports, correspondence, and documents
- Respond to internal and external inquiries by researching policies and gathering information
- Maintain files, databases, logs, and records with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with payroll processing and procurement activities
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes
- Support departmental events, including preparing materials and logistics
- Track project progress and compile reports, summaries, and data insights
- Provide front-line customer service by answering phones and assisting visitors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of administrative or office support experience
- Post-secondary training (business, administrative, or technical field) preferred
(Relevant experience may substitute for education) - Typing speed of 50 net words per minute (certificate required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
