About the RoleStep into a role where your precision keeps production on schedule. As an Ingredients Material Handling Forklift Specialist, you will pull, stage, and return ingredients and concentrates for upcoming production runs. You’ll operate forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials across the warehouse, cooler, and freezer areas, using a tow trailer when needed. Your work ensures smooth flow, minimal congestion, and impeccable inventory accuracy.A Day in the LifeYou arrive and print the production schedule, batch sheets, and Pro-guides for Blending. You review requirements, set priorities by area (freezer, cooler, dry), and organize staging lanes. With RF scanners and QAD, you track every move and validate quality attributes, applying FEFO when required. Throughout the shift, you keep lot integrity intact, maintain one partial per item, and ensure areas are clean and orderly—sweeping or running the sweeper/scrubber as needed.After production, you identify ingredients that weren’t used, determine their return priority by storage type, and put them away quickly to reduce congestion. You use QAD to find the correct locations and return items so FIFO can be followed on the next pull. You also run FEFO reports from QAD, export into Excel, and sort/filter to support timely, accurate pulling. Safety and food quality are always front-of-mind, and you’re encouraged to raise any actual or potential food safety issues.
