Textile Production Machine Technician
Location: West Asheville, NC | Employment: Full-time, in person | Pay: $21.57 – $23.47 per hour
A day in this role
At 6:50 you’re on the floor—whether it’s the day shift or the night shift—reviewing your line, checking material levels, and setting machine parameters. As the run begins, you monitor speeds and pressures, keep an eye on quality metrics, and make minor adjustments to keep output steady. Throughout the shift you record production counts and material usage, complete weight and measurement checks, and perform visual inspections. You keep your area organized, and when needed, you hop on a forklift (we’ll certify you on-site) to move materials safely and efficiently.

Schedule and rotation
12-hour shifts:
- Day: 6:50 AM – 6:50 PM
- Night: 6:50 PM – 6:50 AM
Rotation example:
- Week 1: 4 Days On 7 Days Off
- Week 2: 4 Nights On 3 Days Off
- Week 3: 3 Days On 1 Day Off
- Week 4: 3 Nights On 3 Days Off
The cycle then repeats. Schedule may vary slightly by department. Expect roughly one full week off each month thanks to the rotation.
What you’ll do
- Operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
- Load materials, set controls, and monitor machine performance
- Fine-tune pressure, speed, and other settings as needed
- Track production counts, material usage, and quality metrics
- Perform quality checks (weights, measurements, visual)
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Operate a forklift; willing to certify on-site
What you’ll bring
- Prior machine operating or manufacturing experience (required)
- Comfort with repetitive, hands-on tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb stairs
- Willingness to obtain Fork Truck (Forklift) Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and the ability to follow written instructions in English
